Ultimate wavy animals!

Hi guys! Here’s a cool story we built together:

Cool, right? Well, you’re probably wondering what’s going on. Ha! Well, I’ll tell you.

See that red wavy thing? Yeah, it is Wavy, a red panda. He’s the first animal in space. The only reason he’s saying “oh no!” is that he dropped the microchip he was supposed to put on the moon.

This hedgehog is also on the moon. He sees the red panda! The red panda also sees the hedgehog. Imagine the shock.

Just then, the possum in this picture is talking to the red panda.

And then, the fennec fox is reporting the news. He is saying that the first animal in space is the red panda.

The boy who is watching the breaking news says to himself: “what did you do, wavy?”

Because he is the person who owns the red panda.

And then, the robot is near the microchip that was dropped by the red panda, and he’s picking up the senses.

The koala is also picking up the microchip senses.

And then, the furret is SUPER intelligent. He knows that there are people on the moon.

So he dresses up and zooms into space to investigate.

Meanwhile, the fish accidentally switched to the breaking news…

…and he tells his best friend the polar bear all about the news.

So, pretty cool, right!?!?

We loved it, and we hope you enjoyed it. What will happen? Who knows.

Why

June 2020: This site is intended to record Summer 2020 for our kids, a time when camps are cancelled and beaches are closed. This is a special time for everyone, challenging and thought provoking. We thought it is a good time to start their footprints online, to let them share their stories and hopefully add joy to the internet.

Dec 2020: It is hard to believe this very special year is drawing to an end. Throughout remote learning, hybrid learning, quarantine, travel ban, kids continue to write, draw, play and grow. Looking back through their weekly and drawings, I laugh and think the eternal question: why are we here? In my mind, I have this theory: as imperfect as we are, we and all other living things are created because universe needs our energy to stay in balance. This website reminds me all the energy we as a family has worked hard together to generate. The thought that we are doing our small parts to keep the world balanced brings me relief and a sense of purpose.
